Job Summary

• The Accountant will be responsible for managing the firm’s financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing financial reports, and supporting management with accurate financial data for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee payroll processing and statutory remittances (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax and financial regulations.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (law firm experience is an advantage).
• Professional certification (ICAN / ACCA / ANAN) – completed or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.
• Minimum CGPA of 2.1
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
