Job Title: Head, Operations & Administration

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • Jejebank is seeking a highly structured and execution-focused Head, Operations & Administration to build and scale a world-class operational backbone for its digital bankingplatform.
  • The role will oversee end-to-end banking operations, service delivery, transaction processing,reconciliations, vendor administration, and corporate services, ensuring operational efficiency,
  • regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer experience.
  • As a founding operations leader, you will design processes, controls, and service frameworks tosupport rapid growth while maintaining banking-grade governance.

Key Responsibilities
Banking Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily digital banking operations (accounts, transfers, wallets, cards).
  • Supervise transaction processing, settlement, and exception handling.
  • Ensure SLA adherence across all operational touchpoints.
  • Drive straight-through processing and automation.

Customer Operations & Service Delivery:

  • Oversee back-office support for customer lifecycle events.
  • Manage dispute resolution, chargebacks, and investigations.
  • Drive service turnaround time and experience excellence.
  • Establish escalation and incident management frameworks.

Administration & Corporate Services:

  • Lead facilities, office infrastructure, and asset management.
  • Oversee travel, logistics, and workplace services.
  • Ensure secure, efficient, and productive work environments.
  • Manage corporate insurance and asset registers.

Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Alignment:

  • Ensure adherence to CBN regulations and operational policies.
  • Implement operational risk and control frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain documentation for regulatory reviews.

Vendor & Partner Management:

  • Manage operational vendors (switches, card processors, aggregators).
  • Oversee contract performance and SLA compliance.
  • Drive cost optimization and service quality.
  • Support procurement governance and onboarding.

Settlement, Reconciliation & Controls:

  • Lead interbank settlements and partner settlements.
  • Oversee transaction reconciliation across channels and platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve breaks, duplicates, and failed postings.
  • Strengthen maker-checker and financial control frameworks.

Process Design & Optimization:

  • Design scalable operational workflows for a digital bank.
  • Document SOPs, SLAs, and operational playbooks.
  • Identify automation opportunities and eliminate manual dependencies.
  • Partner with Product & Technology on process digitization.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Transaction success & processing rates
  • Reconciliation break volumes & resolution TAT
  • SLA adherence across services
  • Customer dispute resolution time
  • Audit findings & control ratings.
  • Settlement accuracy & timeliness
  • Operational cost-to-income ratio

Qualifications & Experience
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or postgraduate degree is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications (ACIB, MCIB, PMP, Six Sigma, COBIT) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 12–18+ years in Banking Operations or Financial Services.
  • 5–7 years in senior operations leadership roles.
  • Experience in Digital Banking, Fintech, or Payment Operations required.
  • Proven track record managing settlements, reconciliations, and controls.
