Eterna Plc is a quoted Public Limited Integrated Energy Company engaging in the Manufacturing and Sale of Lubricating Oils; Importation and Bulk / Retail sale of Petroleum Products including PMS, AGO, LPFO, Base Oils, Bitumen; Export of Lubricants / Fuels, Bunkering, Gas Distribution and Marketing (LPG and NG); Offshore and Onshore oil services; Gas Processing; Equipment supply services and other Engineering and Technical Services for the Energy Industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Human Resources

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Eterna Plc's business objectives and long-term growth plan
• Lead HR operations including compensation and benefits, payroll oversight, policy development, compliance, and HR systems optimization
• Provide leadership on employee relations, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and industrial relations
• Ensure full compliance with Nigerian labour laws, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards
• Act as a trusted strategic partner to executive management and business leaders
• Drive organizational development initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, and change management
• Oversee talent acquisition, employer branding, onboarding, employee engagement, learning, and leadership development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, or any other related field
• Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM) is strongly preferred
• A minimum of second class upper is required
• 10-12 years of progressive HR leadership experience in a structured organization
• Strong knowledge of labour law, compensation, performance management, and organizational development
