Hoganguards Limited (formerly Guardsmark Nigeria Limited), a limited liability company is one of the leading security companies in the country. The company began operation on August 18, 1981 and has advanced over the years in the field of Industrial Security. The company currently operates offices in most major capital cities of Nigeria including, Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Akure, Abeokuta, Aba, Asaba, Ado-Ekiti, Ondo, Ore, Ijebu-Ode, Ile-Ife, Calabar, Kano and Enugu; with plans in view of opening up in other cities in Nigeria within the next year. Plans are already at an advanced stage to set up offices in the ECOWAS/West African sub-region.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Description

  • The Business Development Manager will drive growth by identifying new security contracts, expanding client relationships, and promoting Hogan Guards’ range of security services to corporate, government, and private clients.
  • The role requires a results-driven professional with strong sales, negotiation, and client management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies to grow the company’s security services portfolio.
  • Identify, engage, and secure new clients across corporate, government, and private sectors.
  • Achieve revenue targets and monitor business performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research and monitor competitors in the security industry.
  • Prepare proposals, service agreements, and sales reports.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, security forums, and industry events.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in business development or sales, preferably in security or service-based industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of security services, contracts, and service delivery standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, organized, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
