Job Title: Account Officer

Job Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to support financial operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure effective account management.
• The ideal candidate will have solid experience in accounting processes, reporting, and compliance, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and account documentation.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting, expense tracking, and cost control activities.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders (banks, auditors, vendors).
• Assist during audits and provide required financial documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, and other related field
• 1 to 3Years relevant work experience
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Knowledge of basic accounting software
• Good communication and problem-solving skill
• Must Reside in Port Harcourt.
