REQUIREMENTS
ACADEMIC
(1) Professor (CONMESS 7)
Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S Degree from recognized Universities with PhD, Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the relevant specialty or sub specialty with at least twelve years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Must have at least eighteen publications in peer review reputable journals. All should be in circulation.
(2) Associate Professor (CONMESS 6)
Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S Degree from recognized Universities with PhD, Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the relevant specialty or sub specialty with at least nine years relevant experience. Must have at least twelve publications in peer review reputable journals. All publications must be in circulation.
(3) Senior Lecturer (CONMESS 5)
Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S Degree from recognized Universities with PhD, Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the relevant specialty or sub specialty with at least six years relevant experience. Must have at least six publications in peer review reputable journals. All publications must be in circulation.
(4) Lecturer I (CONMESS 4)
Applicants must possess M.B.B.S plus Master’s Degree (MSc), Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the relevant specialty or sub specialty with at least three years relevant experience.
(5) Lecturer II (CONMESS 3)
Applicants must possess M.B.B.S Degree from a recognized University plus professional registration with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and NYSC certificate or exemption certificate.
NON ACADEMIC
(1) Laboratory Technologist (Medical Laboratory)
Requirements: HND, BSc or B.Tech in Science Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution and NYSC certificate or Exemption certificate.
(2) Laboratory Technologist (Science Laboratory)
Requirements: HND, BSc or B.Tech in Science Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution and NYSC certificate or Exemption certificate.
Note
(i) Appointment to the rank of Professor or Associate Professor is subject to external assessment of candidates’ publications.
(ii) A candidate who has never taught in any University before cannot be appointed directly to the rank of Professor or Associate Professor.
(iii) Candidates must have certificate of full registration with MDCN and current annual practice license.
