Job Title: Maintenance Controller

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • Maintenance Controller will be responsible for developing and executing the plant maintenance strategies in accordance to global best practices to ensure asset reliability and availability within the best optimum cost.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organises and schedules annual overhaul of production lines and facilities
  • Improves efficiencies by increasing preventive maintenance across the plant and to minimise breakdowns and reduce mean time between failures.
  • Develops business plans providing productivity improvement and stretchy targets for cost efficiency
  • Prepares and controls annual plant maintenance budget ensuring sufficient funds to cover all routines and initiatives reflected in strategy & operational plans.
  • Plans and control weekly maintenance spending within the approved budget level. Ensures no overspending without proper approvals.
  • Ensures optimal spare parts and maintenance materials inventory management
  • Ensures continuous and effective assets management
  • Actively participates and ensures the implementation of various infrastructure or process optimisation projects in Production
  • Evaluates effectiveness of corrective actions using all available data
  • Maintains effective systems to ensure SBC/PI products and package quality.

Education and Professional Requirements

  • A minimum of Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • 3 – 5 years relevant hands-on FMCG operation and maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of bottling operations: Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Environment, Engineering, Health and Safety.
  • Must Possess CMRP CERTIFICATION or similar Engineering certification will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of business case/cost benefits analysis preparation and basic financial analysis
  • Good understanding and experience of current WC manufacturing methodologies.
  • Good understanding of HQSE modalities and codes.
  • Good understanding of GMP and GHK (5S) standards.
